Today we show you insights into the everyday life of our student Lou Puch (14). She is a show jumper and has been training at the Swiss Academy Zurich since summer 2021.
Our show jumper has a challenging daily programme: morning training, work with the horse, school, then training again, on the horse or in the weight room. In the evenings, Lou Puch (14) studies school material or does homework, because she wants to take her International Matura in three years.
It is thanks to her exemplary and efficient planning, as well as the professional support of her family, that she is able to get everything under control.
"The nice thing about the Swiss Academy is that, apart from the intensive work with the horses and the numerous trainings, I now still have time to take a deep breath and do something with my friends. I appreciate that very much.
Such free spaces are important. It gives Lou strength for her goals, which - apart from everything she has already achieved (and that is something to behold) - already sound like future milestones: European Championship medal and Swiss Championship gold in 2022 and Olympic participation in 2028 in Los Angeles.
"I would like to graduate so that I can go to the USA afterwards. Ideally, I can combine studies and show jumping at the highest international level, that would be my dream."
