Today we show you insights into the everyday life of our student Nolan Biewenga (16). He is a ski freestyler and has been training at the Swiss Academy Zurich since summer 2021.
Spectacular only begins to describe what Nolan Biewenga conjures up on the snow. The ski freestyler is at home on two boards and not only excels in his sport.
Looking at his rigorous schedule, especially during the ski season, it's hard to believe that the 16-year-old is completing his International Matura on the side.
"Big dreams, like reaching the top 10 in the World Cup or competing in the 2026 Olympics, motivate me to step on the gas both on the slopes and in school"
Nolan Biewenga
At the Swiss Academy, the young athlete receives the necessary support. Coupled with a lot of self-organisation, good planning, an individualised timetable and huge support from parents, the dual career of top-class sport and academic training can be mastered.
Even a competitive athlete needs a balance for all his discipline and motivation. Nolan finds this in his circle of friends, where he enjoys doing things and can recharge his batteries for the challenges ahead.
The Swiss Academy is happy to be able to accompany Nolan on his way, ideally one day leading to the Olympic Games, where we will be holding our breath when we see Nolan in action.
The entire Swiss Academy team wishes you all the best and that your dreams come true, dear Nolan.
